It’s been two weeks since WA musician Joni Hogan, best known as Joni in the Moon, and her partner Toby Mack lost all of their beloved possessions in a tragic house fire. The local music community has joined forces to support the couple, with Perth’s Good Buddies hosting a Rebuilding Love fundraiser at Badlands Bar this week.
Thankfully the couple and their children were not injured in the blaze, but the family are left to pick up the pieces of the devastating effects. Close friends and fellow musos have come to their aid since the event took place January 18th, launching a Gofundme campaign to help the pair get back on their feet.
To add to the level of support being offered by the community, Badlands Bar will be holding an event on Friday 3rd February. All funds from the night will go directly to the family to help rebuild their lives again. Local Perth artists and friends of Joni and Toby are coming together to perform, raise love, high vibrations and money for the couple in need.
$15 will get you access to the awesome local line up and help support Joni and Toby. Those unable to make the event can still show support by donating to the Gofundme campaign or sharing the event amongst friends to raise awareness.
Music enthusiasts and supporters can expect an epic lineup this week with local legends Usurper of Modern Medicine, Weapon is Sound, Peter Bibby, Mei Saraswati, The Last Fair Deal and She Leaves the Mountain performing in the Badlands main room. Plus, more acts still to be announced. There will also be treats from That Naughty Food Truck and special drink offers at the venue. The event will be hosted by Magnolia’s Tristan Fiddler and Matt Aitken.
Spread the word and come on down to support this great cause!
