The Godfather of Shock Rock, Alice Cooper, returns this October for a spectacular 40th-anniversary tour. Start prepping the black eyeliner and fake blood because the rock-god is heading to Australia and coming to Perth! Fans get ready – this will be his 13th Aussie tour and kicks off at Perth Arena, Tuesday 17th October.
Alice Cooper will be showcasing an immense body of work in his most thrilling stage show yet. Special guest Ace Frehley, the former KISS guitarist “Spaceman” will be joining him for a string of epic performances. Alice Cooper first came to fame in the 70’s, alarming audiences with ghoulish, garish, shock-horror stage shows. His catalogue of hits including, I’m Eighteen, No More Mr Nice Guy, School’s Out, Welcome to My Nightmare and Poison are featured in his live shows, along with the usual theatrics we can expect.
Alice Cooper’s legendary performances involve live snakes, straight jackets and other horror movie-styled props. Backed by dramatic lighting, fog machines and hard-rocking music, it’s one show not to be missed. His theatrical acts, as well as his music, is what Alice Cooper is renowned for. Including “murdering” dolls and using electric chairs during performances – you know you’ll be in for one hell of a ride!
Cooper ventured over to our shores for his first ever Australian tour in March 1977. Not surprisingly, it broke attendance records. 40 years on and the Godfather of Shock Rock is still going strong. The singer/songwriter continues to reveal surprises and exude danger at every turn. Expect to be thrilled because, with Alice Cooper, he wouldn’t settle for anything less.
In addition to his regular touring, Cooper has a syndicated radio show Nights with Alice Cooper showcasing some of his favourite musicians. Tickets for his upcoming tour go on sale from 9am Friday 28th April. Full tour dates and ticket info below.
