After a highly successful Easter FEASTER, Fly By Night and Toward Music want to do it all over again. Friday, May 26th FEASTER #2 kicks off for another exclusive live music showcase. The event features some of Perth’s top talent and will be held in the charismatic setting of the Fly’s Victoria (Main) Hall.

Music enthusiasts can expect a feast of tunes including pop rockin’ blues, 90’s-inspired rock, alternative-folk and a hint of jazz. The calibre of talent combined with the Fly’s quality sound and venue experience will make for one fantastically awesome night. We hope to see all you music-loving fans there! If you’re looking for an excuse to check out one of Fremantle’s best live music venues – this is it. Tickets are just $10 on the door.

FEASTER is Perth’s state-of-the-art original live music event that showcases the finest selection of local musicians each month. Stay tuned next month for a brand-spanking new lineup!

Line-up Includes:

Small Batch Audio: Perth duo Small Batch Audio deliver an arresting windows-down experience that combines dirty riffs with bold, melodic songwriting. Brothers Matt (guitar/vocals) and Sam (drums) have spent the last decade or so extending their musical influences and defining their sounds, albeit from opposite corners of the country and globe. Finally reunited in Fremantle, SBA brings together a shared yet fractured musical history to deliver visceral storytelling, memorable melodies and blistering hooks.

Finding solace in the simplicity of a two piece, the brothers have indulged in a new found sense of freedom, while also pushing the confines of their craft. Their first release, Animal, produced by Joel Quartermain and mastered by Brian Lucy (LA), offers a raw and emotive account of the world.

The Silent Deeds: Loud live music that makes you want to move! Their music, which draws on a range of influences including Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Hoodoo Gurus, is designed to get its audience grooving. Put it all in live music blender and you have yourself a cocktail of catchy guitar solos and funk-driven sounds.

The Silent Deeds song style is best described as acoustic rock with edge…Featuring strong vocals, excellent guitar that at times touched on a U2 sound and solid, competent bass and drums, The Silent Deeds stated their case in very loud terms and got the night rolling” – Ausland181 Review

The Little Lord Street Band: An alt-folk-country four piece that lends their name from the busy Mt Lawley city inroad, where they reside. Their devotion behind the songs, melodies and guitar riffs are diverse. Hardened, yet sweet. The songs are a ‘his and hers’ mix-match with James Rogers and Natasha Shanks partaking in the songwriting and material. If you think ‘mixtape in the 90’s’ – you give it to someone you want to say something to, this is the result.

Rob Walker: After 15 years as a front man natural progression led Walker to embark on a solo career in 2012. Renowned for his unflagging commitment to melody and alluring lyrical ambiguity, the talent behind Walker’s raw, solid and heartfelt vocals are backed up by an incredible stage presence.

Walker’s music has earned him support slots, tours and collaborations with Jeff Martin/The Tea Party, Phil Jamieson/Grinspoon, Rai Thistlewaithe and Phil Stack/Thirsty Merc, Jon Toogood/Shihad, Clint Boge/The Butterfly Effect, Mark Seymour/Hunters and Collectors, Sarah McLeod/SuperJesus and James Reyne/Australian Crawl.

Rob is a great example of real music. His passion for his songs oozes with each lyric. A great talent destined for bigger things.”- Brad Pottinger, 96FM Perth.

Chapman: A four-piece pop/rock/blues outfit delivering cruisey, mellow tunes that warm your heart and soul. The band have been playing since 2014 and already have an EP under their belt, playing stages all over this isolated city. Chapman will be releasing their latest single and debut music video this year so stay tuned!

live music showcase

Old River Kid: Local rockers featuring some downright dirty sax ready to seduce those eardrums and get you moving on the d-floor. Zane Lockett, the writer behind the songs, crafts deeply passionate tracks that the band flesh out into powerful emotional musical stories. Ballads with just a little more kick. Their music weaves through multiple genres including folk, rock and blues.
