For a taste of something a little different, Aussie Hip-Hop act Hilltop Hoods have announced they’ll be touring to Australia in 2016 with a 52 piece symphony orchestra. In what will be their biggest Australian tour to date, Hilltop Hoods will kick off The Restrung Tour in Sydney Saturday 2nd April. Perth fans can expect them to perform on the 30th April. Event details here.

The tour will promote Hilltop Hoods’ latest album Drinking from the Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung; a release that ties the band’s two #1 double platinum albums Walking Under Stars and Drinking from the Sun. Tracks from both of these records have been rerecorded with the 32 piece Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and the 20 piece Adelaide Chamber Singers Choir, along with some fresh new material from the boys too.

“We’ve taken six songs from our last two albums … and we’ve gone and hit up an orchestra again,” said MC Suffa. “We’ve recorded a full album [and] we’ve recorded about seven new songs as well.”

Hilltop Hoods have just released their leads single off the album, Higher, which has already seen a huge amount of buzz generated. The track also features Sydney singer James Chatburn. Drinking from the Sun, Walking Under Stars Restrung will be released on the 19th February 2016, with Higher available now on iTunes to purchase.

To celebrate the album release, Hilltop Hoods will be touring Aussie shores mid 2016 along with special guest Maverick Sabre from London, hitting Down Under for the very first time. Sabre has previously collaborated with the boys on their hit songs Won’t Let You Down and Live & Let Go. Embarking across five capitol cities, this will be the hip hop act’s only headline tour for the New Year and is expected to be huge. Make sure you get your tickets here.
