Season 3 at The Newport Record Club with Beyonce

“Beyonce’s Greatest Hits album is a lesson in how to write and produce a killer pop song, over and over again.  Playing her music is a great way to have a party – on and off stage!” – Elliot Smith (Drummer, The Single Ladies)

Crowned as one of the best selling music artists of all time. Beyonce dominates as an actress, mother and pop singer. She’s also the queen of RnB in the eyes of many. With over 115 million records sold as a solo artist and a further 60 million with RnB pop band Destiny’s Child, Beyonce has been devoted to music since she was 5 years old – and boy does it show.

Thriving on a career that’s adapted to, influenced and challenged the pop music industry, Beyonce is one of only a few singers that can dance and perform on stage whilst still maintaining near-perfect vocals at a top level. A soul diva of her generation, Beyonce is impressive, stunningly stylish and a brilliant talent.

Celebrating Beyonce’s RnB Brilliance

Released in 2007, Beyonce’s Greatest Hits album fuels a sold mix of funk, soul and RnB tunes. Accompanied by corresponding music videos, the album is an orderly parade from hit to hit, milestone to milestone, strength to strength.

Greatest Hits showcases Beyonce’s impressive vocals – one of the most compelling instruments in pop music – and a fiery combination of slippery rap rhythms and virtuosic style.

“The album is a lesson in how to write and produce a killer pop sing, over and over again”, says Smith. Our lead vocalist, Sophie Foster, is Perth’s new powerhouse vocalist and while she really loves Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Stevie Wonder, she is equally interested in the new school side of RnB – so The Newport Record Club was a great opportunity for us to slam out the hits of the current queen of RnB”.
