Late last week State of the Art Festival – Perth’s premium celebration of WA music – announced their 2016 line-up…and it’s an absolute ripper. Headlined by rockers Jebediah and indi-pop icons San Cisco, this years’ State of the Art Festival will be the first local music event to hit Perth’s newest Elizabeth Quay on Monday 6th June 2016; WA long day weekend.
Despite the success of the festival’s previous instalments, this year’s’ State of the Art festival has a new twist – it’s completely FREE! Combined with a killer line-up of the freshest WA artists yet, 2016 SOTA festival is already looking to be huge.
Proudly presented by Celebrate WA and curated by WAM, the fifth annual local music showcase will be held over three stages at a brand-spanking new venue as part of the WA Day Festival. Featuring some of the best WA born and bred artists, this year’s SOTA festival will include some renowned classics and new acts to seduce your eardrums, spanning everything from 90’s rock to soul, electronica and more.
